We use a Canon PIXMA iX6850 High performance FINE head.
The chromalife100+ ink series is a series of superior quality inks, this particular ink is able to keep the print of a photo unchanged for around 300 years if kept in a photo album, with a resistance to light of at least 30 years and a gas resistance of at least 20 years with improved color reproduction in the red areas and a more neutral and intense photographic black. The dye-based inks have been designed to optimize image quality and resistance to atmospheric agents, when used in combination with the printhead of high-performance FINE printing from the PIXMA line.
Dye inks are liquid and soak into the paper. Professional art gallery quality printers use light fast dry pigment inks which sit on the surface of the paper. They print at a high resolution and are classed as archival. This means there should be no colour shift or fading for at many years when displayed carefully behind glass, or more years when kept in an album. The pigment inks have been tested to exacting standards. Therefore we are sure to provide a high quality product.
