Tirana 1992-2019 is a photographic book with a collection of street-photography shoots of Tirana, in Albania, made in two historical periods of that country. 1992, the post-communist period. Politics and economic poverty had transformed the landscape and the population . Each person had adapted to the surrounding world, creating new ways every day, to live. 2019, towards Europe. Modernization advances towards these places, what will change? The people who now live there and who work there and who use that environment to maintain a decent and happy life. Where will they go next? What will they do if modernity changes their environment and habits? The new urban landscape is a lonely machine that changes the very fabric of life, interpersonal relationships.
The book is thus divided into two chapters that represent two different temporal visions of the same places in Tirana.
The photographs show the identity of a city that changes according to the economic impact.
